那須高原HERB'sさんに、とうもろこしを納めにきていた農家の菊地さんと偶然お会いして、
「とうもろこし狩りできますよ」というお話になり、伺いました。
専用車（トラック）に乗り換えて、いよいよ、とうもろこし狩りに出発です。

I met farmer Mr. Kikuchi when he was delivering corn to Nasu Kogen HERB's.
He kindly said, “You can try corn picking”, so we visited his fields.
We changed to his small truck and then headed out for the corn picking.

うひょー、トラックの荷台って楽しい～。
上下にガタガタして、油断すると飛び出しちゃいそうなところが、緊張感とスリルがあってドキドキして面白い。

Riding in the back of the truck is very fun.
The truck shakes up and down, so I feel a little nervous.
That small thrill makes the ride exciting.

とうもろこし畑に到着～。

We arrived at the corn fields.

とうもろこしがいっぱいなってます。
早速、もぎもぎ。

Many ears of corn are growing on the stalks.
We immediately started picking them one after another.

大きくて美味しそうなとうもろこしが採れました。
We harvested big, delicious-looking ears of corn.

（カオリの注目ポイント） (Kaori’s Highlights)

菊地佳幸（きくち よしゆき）さんは、2005年に就農された農家です。
とうもろこし栽培はまだ始めたばかりとのことでしたが、何となく素朴でちょっとアバウトな感じが自然体でイイなーと思いました。
那須でのとうもろこし狩りは、体験したくても今までは無かったので、嬉しい。
体験したい方は、あらかじめ電話で連絡をすれば、随時受け付けてくださるそうです。
カオリのときは、戸田地区コミュニティ消防センターで待ち合わせをさせていただきました。
Mr. Yoshiyuki Kikuchi started farming in 2005.
He is still new to growing corn, but his natural, easygoing style is very nice.
There were almost no chances to try corn picking in Nasu before, so I was very happy.
If you want to try it, please call in advance and he will arrange it for you.
When I visited, we met at the Toda Community Fire Station and then went to the fields together.
