板室温泉にある、知る人ぞ知るそば処です。
実は、前を通りかかる度にいつも混んでるから気になっていたのです。
This soba restaurant in Itamuro Onsen is known mainly by local people.
Every time I passed by, it was crowded, so it caught my attention.

店内にはジャズが流れていました。
「そば処でジャズ！？」。これが意外と合うのです。
カオリは席に座った瞬間にその雰囲気が気に入ってしまいました。
Jazz music was playing inside.
I first thought, “Jazz in a soba restaurant?” but it matched the place well.
When I sat down, I immediately liked the atmosphere.

カオリが注文したのは「くるみ胡麻だれざるそば」。
I ordered chilled soba with walnut and sesame dipping sauce.

うーん、美味しいー。
実は創業２０年を超える老舗のそば処なのだそうです。
なるほど、美味しくて当たり前ですね。
The soba was very tasty.
I heard that this soba restaurant has been open for over 20 years.
Because of this long history, the flavor is very good.

そして大注目が天然あゆの塩焼き。
Another highlight is the salt-grilled wild ayu (sweetfish).

おお、これはいけるー。
塩加減も焼き加減も絶妙です。
今まで食べた塩焼きの中でも最高ランクかも。
まさに忘れられない美味しさですー。
The taste is very good.
The amount of salt and the level of grilling are well balanced.
It may be one of the best salt-grilled fish I have ever eaten.
The flavor is strong and easy to remember.
