那須ロープウェイの乗り場を過ぎて、さらに登ると峠の茶屋があります。
大きな駐車場もあって、那須岳登山の基地（出発点）として賑わっています。 After you pass the Nasu Ropeway station and go a little further up, you will come to Touge no Chaya.
It has a large parking lot, so many people use it as a base for climbing Mt. Nasu.

峠の茶屋の中には、ちょっとレトロなお土産モノがいっぱい売られています。 Inside, you can see many retro style souvenirs on the shelves.

カオリのお薦めは、きのこ汁。 I recommend the mushroom soup.

何のきのこだろう？
手作り味噌の味が何とも言えず美味しいー。 I wonder which mushrooms they use.
The taste of the handmade miso is very good.

ここでしか買えないという“しそ巻きあんず”も見逃せません。
カオリ、あんず大好きです。 Please also try the "shiso wrapped apricots", a local product that you can buy only here.
I like apricots very much.

あー、きのこ汁が美味しかったー。
お店で働いている方達が妙に元気なのが印象的でした。
「このお味噌、手作りですか？美味しいですねー」というカオリの問いかけに「ありがとね、ありがとね」と、何度も繰り返しながら片づけをしていたお店の方の姿が忘れられない思い出となりました。 The mushroom soup was very delicious.
I also remember how cheerful the staff were.
When I asked, "Is this miso handmade? It is very tasty," one staff member kept saying "Thank you, thank you" while cleaning. I will never forget this scene.

峠の茶屋付近は標高が高く空気も澄んでいるため、天体観測でキレイな星空が眺められることが有名です。
晴天の夜には、駐車場に満点の星空を見に来る車がたくさん集まります。
満点の星空を眺めて楽しむ時間は、想像するだけで、とてもロマンチックですね。 The area around Touge no Chaya is high in the mountains and the air is clear, so it is famous for stargazing.
On clear nights, many cars come to the parking lot to see the sky full of stars.
Spending time under this starry sky feels very romantic.
