Short courses are nice because beginners can enjoy them easily.
This short course has many slopes in its layout.
You can enjoy different types of holes, including elevated greens and valley shots.

ショートコースはゴルフ初心者でも気軽に挑戦できるのが嬉しい。
ここは３番ホールの丘の上グリーン。
パターは上から打っても下から打ってもかなり難しいです。
Short courses are good because beginners can try them easily.
This is the elevated green on the 3rd hole.
Putting is hard from both above and below the hole.
４番ホールの谷超え。
林の隙間から見える谷向こうのグリーンを狙います。
とても届く気がしません・・・。
The 4th hole has a valley shot.
You aim for the green across the valley through a gap in the trees.
It feels like the ball will not reach.
５番ホールのティーショット。
ここからはオープンで気持ちの良いフェアウェイが広がります。
This is the tee shot on the 5th hole.
An open and pleasant fairway spreads out from here.
なかなか練習のようには飛びません・・・。
初めてのショートコースはかなりボロボロでした。
パー３×９ホール、ハーフで２７のコースですが、カオリのスコアはハーフで９１・・・。
やっぱりもっと練習が必要なようです。
The ball does not fly like it does in practice...
My first round on this short course was not good.
It has 9 par-3 holes (par 27), but my score was 91.
I clearly need more practice.

那須高原ゴルフ練習場のショートコースです。
クラブハウス側のコースはまさに山の中といった感じ。
しかし４番ホールで谷超えをしたあとはうって変わって広々としたフェアウェイが広がります。
超初心者のカオリは他の皆様に迷惑がかからないように朝一番（７時頃）にスタートしました。
This short course is part of the Nasu Kogen Golf Practice Range.
The holes near the clubhouse feel like you are playing in the mountains.
After the valley shot on the 4th hole, the fairway becomes wide and open.
As a beginner, I started early in the morning (around 7 a.m.) to avoid disturbing others.

ゴルフは永く楽しめるスポーツなのでゆっくり上達していきたいと思います。
ショートコースと併設されている練習場は打席が広々としていますので、子供を連れてのんびり練習するのにも向いています。
Golf is a sport you can enjoy for many years, so I want to improve slowly.
The driving range next to the course has wide practice bays, so it is good for relaxed practice with children.
