那須で人気のいちご狩りに訪れました。
「お菓子の城」と同じ敷地内にあります。
I came to visit this popular strawberry picking spot in Nasu.
It is on the same grounds as “Okashi-no-Shiro.”

ビニールハウスの中には、食べ頃ないちごがたっぷり実っていました。
このツヤといい、形といい、おいしそうです。

Inside the greenhouse, many ripe strawberries were growing.
Their bright color and shape made them look very delicious.

まずは、いちごの”もぎ方”について、レクチャーを受けます。
ただ引っ張るのではなくて、ヘタといちごの先を持って、くるっとモグのが正式な方法だそうです。
そうしないと、”かんざし”と呼ばれる部分が傷むのだとのこと。

First, we learn how to pick the strawberries.
You do not pull them. You hold the calyx and the tip, then twist gently to pick.
If you only pull, the part called the “kanzashi” gets damaged.

うーん、おいしい！
まさに至福の瞬間です。

They taste very good!
It is a very happy moment.

コチラのいちご狩りは、立ったままできるようになっているのが特徴です。
埃もつかず、車椅子でもいちご狩りが楽しめるそうです。
便利で、よく考えられていますね！
