那須歴史探訪館 Nasu Rekishi Tanboukan
那須歴史探訪館は、那須町の歴史に関する資料を展示する資料館。
日本を代表する建築家の一人・隈研吾さんが設計した建物としても有名で、建築そのものも見所のひとつです。
明るい館内で、那須町がどのように形作られてきたのかを、映像や展示を通してじっくり学ぶことができます。 Hello, this is Kaori.
Nasu Rekishi Tanboukan is a museum about the history of Nasu Town.
The building was designed by Kengo Kuma, one of Japan’s leading architects.
The architecture itself is also a highlight of the visit.
Inside the bright museum, you can learn how Nasu Town developed through videos and exhibits.

那須町の歴史に関する資料を展示する資料館です。

This museum displays materials about the history of Nasu Town.

歴史ごとに代表的な品物が展示されています。 Typical items from each historical period are on display.
旧石器時代の七曲遺跡、那須氏の一族である伊王野氏など武士台頭の様子、
奥州街道の宿場機能発展の様子など、現在の那須町が誕生するまでの歴史を紹介しています。
Exhibits cover the Nanamagari archaeological site from the Paleolithic age.
They also show the rise of the Iono clan, related to the Nasu family.
You can learn about post towns along the Oshu Kaido highway and the birth of modern Nasu Town.
明るい資料館内部は、外の空間とうまくマッチして、
素晴らしくゆったりとした雰囲気を醸し出していました。

那須の歴史を探訪する旅もなかなかオツなものなのデス。
日本を代表する建築家の一人、隈研吾さんの設計による建物は、周囲をガラスで覆うことで外の環境に溶け込む、「消える建物」をテーマに設計されています。
天井とガラス面には、藁を加工した軽くて光を透過させる半透明のパネルが設置されていて、とても明るい雰囲気です。
A trip to explore the history of Nasu is very interesting.
Kengo Kuma designed the building with the theme of a “disappearing building” that blends into its surroundings with glass walls.
Light, semi-transparent panels made from processed straw cover the ceiling and glass surfaces and make the museum very bright.
