Hisagi

楸(ひさぎ)・外観 / Hisagi gallery tea room
This is a privately run gallery tea room. A small sign marks the entrance, and at first it looks like an ordinary house.
Inside, the building has three floors. The first floor is a café, and the second and third floors are gallery spaces, which creates a slightly mysterious atmosphere.
It first began when the owner opened her home as a gallery for friends, and now it is a lively place where many artists and musicians gather. A music concert is held here once a month.

When I visited, an exhibition called “Memories of Spain” was being held.
Dolls in traditional costumes made of Japanese paper and photos created an atmosphere that made me want to visit Spain.

This is Ms. Nozaki, the owner.
She kindly talked with me about many things.
