八幡のツツジ Yahata Azaleas
「相鉄の那須」という別荘地を抜けて山へ登り、ボルケーノハイウェイの料金所手前まで来ると、
八幡のツツジが群生している一帯のすぐ手前まで到達することができます。
５月下旬から６月中旬にかけて、一面に咲き誇るツツジは圧巻です。
If you pass through the villa area called “Sotetsu no Nasu” and drive up into the mountains toward the Volcano Highway toll gate,
you will come close to the area where the Yahata azaleas grow in clusters.
From late May to mid-June, the hillside is covered with azaleas in full bloom.

If you pass through the “Sotetsu no Nasu” villa area and drive up into the mountains toward the Volcano Highway toll gate,
you can reach the area just before the hillside where the Yahata azaleas grow in clusters.
このルートならボルケーノハイウェイの有料道路に入らず、ツツジを見ることが可能だったのですが、
2009年10月30日よりボルケーノハイウェイ自体が無料化されましたので、那須湯本から直接行っても同じになりました。
気軽にいつでも行けるようになって嬉しいですね（料金所も今は撤去されています）。
Using this route, you could once see the azaleas without entering the toll section of the Volcano Highway.
However, the highway became toll-free on October 30, 2009, so going directly from Nasu Yumoto is now just as easy.
It is nice that you can visit anytime now, and the toll gate has been removed.

ツツジ林の中を鑑賞しながら散策してみましょう。 Take a leisurely walk along the paths while enjoying the azalea forest around you.
あふれんばかりの花をつけたツツジです。 These azalea bushes are full of flowers.
ツツジの花から、ほとばしるような生命力を感じます。
何だかツツジから元気を分けてもらえそう。

一面のツツジに自然の素晴らしさと逞しさを感じます。
5月下旬から6月中旬までの八幡（やわた）のツツジは本当に必見です。
13ヘクタールの広大な敷地にヤマツツジやレンゲツツジなど約10万本のツツジが咲き乱れます。
一面のツツジの中、木道を歩きながら散策すると本当に癒されます（しかも無料）。
これはもういくっきゃないでしょう！
The wide area of azaleas shows the beauty and strength of nature.

About 100,000 azalea plants, including Yamatsutsuji and Renge-tsutsuji, bloom in a 13-hectare area.
Walking on the boardwalks among the flowers is very relaxing, and admission is free.
This is a place that many visitors will want to see.
