那須高原を観光するうえで拠点のような存在になっている南ヶ丘牧場。
駐車場代と入場料が無料なので、ちょっと一息つきたい人も含めて、沢山の人が訪れます。
餌代は有料ですが、どうぶつに餌やりをするのも楽しいです。 Minamigaoka Dairy Farm is like a base for sightseeing in Nasu Highland.
Because parking and admission are free, many people visit, even just for a short rest.
You must pay for animal feed, but feeding the animals is fun.

夏場は4歳から小学生までのお子さんがいらっしゃるご家族には、「ニジマスのつかみ取り」がオススメ。
大人は一緒に入れず子供だけで挑戦することとなるのですが、応援している親同士にも一体感が生まれそうな白熱した応援合戦となります。
手でつかむのが難しい場合は網やバケツを借りられますが、網やバケツで取るのも子供には相当に難しいです。
それでも大人が助けに入ることができないところがもどかしく、網やバケツを持って右往左往する子供の姿がまた何とも言えず可愛かったりします。 In summer, “rainbow trout catching” is recommended for families with children from about age four to elementary school age.
Only the children can enter the stream, so parents watch and cheer from outside, which creates a strong feeling of unity.
