About Nasu-kogen
Nasu-kogen is one of the famous summer resorts in japan. In summer, a lot
of people visit there to run away from the moist and sultry cities. There
are many cottages, - even the Emperor's cottage -, in Nasu-kogen and so
it is a popular resort. You can visit there easily because it takes only
about 1 hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen. It is the resort where you can enjoy
yourself by various ways, such as hot springs, nature, theme parks, restaurants,
cafes and museums. It is the optimal place for your vacation in Japan.

1.Hot spring
Many good hot springs are gushing in Nasu-kogen because of volcanic activity.
There are a lot of accommodations with the hot spring and so many kinds
of ways to enjoy bathing, for example, the hot spring by the riverside
(you can see fishes in the river), the hot spring of the top of the mountain
(you can see stars at night) or the hot spring of the traditional style.
There are many hot springs such as the simple spring (transpar and colorless)
and the salfur spring (milk white), and so on.
2.Nature
The sights in Nasu-kogen change every season, for instance the azalea of
Yawata in May, NIKKOUKISUGE of the Numappara-shitsugen in July, fresh green
in summer, autumnal leaves in fall and snow in winter. Nasu-kogen spreads
out at the foot of Chausu-dake which is an active volcano with white smoke.
There are a rural scene and grand mountains in Nasu-kogen.
3.Theme parks
It is said that about 3 million people visit various theme parks in Nasu-kogen
every year. Nasu-kogen has many kinds of parks such as an amusement park
with a roller coaster, a pasture where you can touch animals. |
